I am a scholar-practitioner, educator, curator, and ACMG hiking guide who explores the intersection between nature, arts, culture, and social change. I am from the Georgian Bay Métis Community. My academic research interests and publications draw from cultural studies, Indigenous/settler-colonial studies, decolonization, art history, Indigenous art practice, William Blake studies, exhibition studies, narrative studies/storywork, land-based education, eco-philosophy, and eco-criticism. I teach at the Alberta University of the Arts and strive to help make Canada more just and resilient. On my own time, I enjoy an off-the-grid lifestyle, board games, being creative—playing the guitar, finger weaving, flint knapping, leather- and woodworking—and getting lost in conversation around a campfire, especially one that I have made without matches or lighters.
